The next morning Alan and Chad dropped off the girls at the Waterfront for their trip to Robben Island, and the boys went to the airport for their trip to the US-ENG game. Robben Island was an experience unlike any other. The tour guides were all previous prisoners which shared their own stories along the tour, absolute chilling at points.
The US-ENGLAND game was in Rustenburg, about 2.5 hours outside of Jo-burg (that’s what us South African’s call it). Alan booked a tent for the boys about 20 minutes from the stadium. It included a bus ride to the stadium which got us there 5 hours before kickoff (they were worried about traffic). To saw this stadium was in the middle of nowhere would be giving it to much credit. When we got off the bus, there was a shanty town house (literally a tin roof with cardboard siding). We grabbed our beers and had a "tailgate."
Everyone got along before the game.
Our seats were pretty good.
